Regional anesthesia for cardiothoracic surgery

Cardiac and thoracic surgery have been connected to high perioperative opioid use for a long time. With increasing knowledge of regional anesthesia in the region, nerve blocks become supplemental methods analgesia. As part multimodal analgesia, they are important factors enhanced recovery after contribute diminished use. Myofascial more superficial than classic epidural or paravertebral block therefore safer anticoagulated patients. In this article, we present number blocks; paraneuraxial block; myofascial plane which retrolaminar block, erector spinae serratus anterior pectoral nerves I II transversus thoracis parasternal intercostal perineural also local anesthetic infusion by wound catheter.
